1.8 Customizing
Customizing
The amount of options to customize your character, clothes, cars, and gangs is just plain sick! This is not a small set of selectable choices, it is an immense system for creating countless combinations.
This takes the notion of “play it your way” and jams it full of easy tools to give the game a personalized feel that each player is in complete control of. As an added incentive to experiment with different options, anything you purchase for customization earns you a small amount of respect that is used to boost your rank.
Total customization choices:
2 body genders
4 races
4 bodies
55 skin colors
4 skin masks
5,000+ morphs
28 facial hair styles*
13 eyebrows styles*
52 hair styles*
35 hair colors
14 eye colors
80+ makeup and facial features
500+ pieces of clothing
126 clothing colors
200+ tattoos
* Including the “None” option
Note
The total permutations of customization choices exceeds a googol googol, meaning greater than 1 with 200 zeros. I got up to 150 digits and got tired of counting the permutations and I hadn’t even exited player creation. So, that doesn’t include any clothing or tattoos.”

Character
The character creation system enables you to make a completely unique virtual representation in the game world. The options are dizzying and your imagination is pretty much the only restriction. You can craft a very good likeness of yourself, a celebrity, or any of your favorite characters.
The best part is that after your initial makeover, you can go to the shop Image by Design and completely rework your character at any time.
Not only can you determine how your character looks, you can also change their personality, including their voice. There are seven different voices to play around with and each one has its own style and unique lines of dialogue.
If you’re up for something out of the norm, try the zombie voice for hilarious groaning responses. There is even a feature to upload and download your character to the community site. This chart illustrates just the top-level options at your disposal for customizing you character.
| Body Area | Customisable features |
|---|---|
| Body | Sex, Race, Build, Skin, Body, Mask, Age, Sex appeal |
| Face | Featuers, Crown, Forehead, Brow, Eyes, Eye Color, Ears Cheekbones, Nose, Mouth, Chin, Jaw |
| Hair | Facial hair, Eyebrows |
| Make up | Eyeliner, Eyeshadow, Cheeks, Mouth, Entire Face, Interns, Fingernails |
| Personality | Voice, Compliment, Taunt |
Clothes
It seems like a tragedy to throw clothes on that finely crafted body you just made, but once you check out the options it hard to resist playing dress-up with some of the crazy combinations.
There are tons of choices to cover your character from head to toe, including accessories like piercings and jewelry. Yet, there is no requirement to wear anything, so you can stroll around fully decked-out or stripped down naked. Most of the clothing shops are Planet Saints that were inspired by your gang and feature hip gangster clothing.
However, there are three speciality shops—Nobody Loves Me, Let’s Pretend, and Leather and Lace—that offer some unique apparel. Here is a sample of the various options for styling your character...
