2.26 Killbane Arc (Missions 42-44)
A Remote Chance (Killbane Arc)
Cash Earned: $16,000
Respect Earned: 4,000
Wipe Out the Competition
Meet at the Broken Shillelagh to discuss a plan to take down Killbane. It’s easy to murder Killbane but to really destroy him the Saints have to take away his pride and respect by defeating him in the ring. Killbane won’t give you or Angel the time of day, but if all the other contenders for MurderBrawl are out of the picture he will have to take your challenge.
Mangler’s Rage
Hop on a helicopter and use the upgraded RC Possessor to control various vehicles to eliminate the competition. Fly to the gym to find your first target, the Mad Mangler. When he steps in the vehicle, zap it with the RC Gun.
The Mangler is a laid-back guy, but he is about to have an uncontrolled fit of roid rage as you steer his truck into pedestrians. The signal of the RC Gun lasts a relatively short distance, as shown by the signal bar over the vehicle. If the signal is lost, you must shoot the truck again to regain control. However, there should be plenty of time to run down 15 people if you stick to the surrounding area of the Murderbrawl Arena.
Now that the Mad Mangler’s career is in the toilet, it’s time to put him out of commission. Drive to the gas station and ram into the fuel pumps to blow him to bits.
Beach Boat Bash
The next target is Clubber Johnson, who is on his boat at the harbor. Fly to the harbor and RC a boat.
When in control of the vessel, build up some speed and crash the boat into the beach party. Two down, two to go.
Teddy’s Tragic Tour
Next up is Trashcan Teddy, who is on a sky tour of the city. Locate the helicopter and zap it in midair. Don’t smash into the chopper right next to you. Follow the red indicator to locate the real target. When you get close, the pilot bails out, leaving Trashcan to fly the helicopter. The guy is pretty good at steering the chopper, but if you stay at the same height and box him in, there is going to be a midair collision.
Impeach the Presidente
Angel saves the worst for last, El Presidente. He is afraid that Killbane will try to wipe him out before the match and he has reached out to STAG for protection.
Fly to the airport and RC control one of the tanks below. There are plenty to choose from and if the one you use gets destroyed, just zap another one and resume the hunt. Blast his ride with your tank but feel free to wreak a bit of havoc on the base as well.
With all of the contenders eliminated, it’s time to challenge Killbane face to face during a press conference. March up to him and demand that he fight the best there is, or at least the only one left, the Stilwater Butcher.

Retrieve Angel’s Mask and Honor
Angel talks you out of fighting Killbane and wants to take your place in an attempt to reclaim his dignity. He has been living with the shame of his defeat and the only way to resolve the situation is to seize this opportunity. First, Angel must set things right and reclaim his honor. He will need to earn his mask and the best way to do that, apparently, is to hurt people until someone tells him where it is.
Tear the casino apart, by destroying the slot machines, until someone shows up who knows where Angel’s mask is. That’s not exactly a great way to earn the mask back but it’s close enough. Shoot the slots to fill the yellow bar in the upper-left corner. There are more than enough slots, including those in the two adjoining rooms, that you don’t need to break every one of them.
The gang notoriety meter start out at four stars and you can expect the Luchadores to attack in waves. The interior of the casino is large and the numerous pillars and gambling stations make it fairly easy to pick off the guards. The only ones that can be a concern are the Luchadore Grenadier, who hurls—what else?—grenades at you. As long you keep moving and use the slots for cover, there should be no problem destroying the slots during the gunfight.
Tip
Additional rooms on both sides of the main section have a lot more slots and usually fewer guards.
When you’ve done enough destruction, the casino manager finally arrives to check what’s happening. Grab him and interrogate him to find out where Angel’s mask is.
The mask is in the vault behind the teller cages. Thanks to meeting the Saints, Angel finally has the will and self-worth to reclaim his mask. Run behind the cages to the vault that was suspiciously left open. Angel finally reclaims his mask and his honor.
Destroy Statue 1
Before leaving the casino, Angel wants to send Killbane a message by destroy the statues made in his image. Check the minimap for the location of the six statues and don’t focus too much attention on the Luchadores except when they get in your way. The first statue is in the back of the adjacent room to the west. A few shots is all it take to shatter the Killbane likeness.
Destroy Statue 2
From the first statue, turn around 180 degrees and run under the double staircase to find the next statue. Rest here in the corner if your health is running low. The middle room is filled with enemies and side rooms like these are great for taking a break.
Destroy Statue 3
Go back around and run up the double set of stairs. The room to the left has two guards as well as another statue.
Run into the room near the statue to protect your back from the open hallway and wipe out the guards. When the coast is clear destroy statue number three.
Destroy Statue 4
The hallway is probably filled with guards by now, so take them out from the cover of the doorway before running into the open.
When the coast is clear, run straight across the hall to find the next statue.
Destroy Statue 5
The last one upstairs is in a room at the far southern corner. Turn right at the last statue and run to the end of the hallway to the left of the enormous golden statue. Duck into the room, kill any Luchadores and waste statue number five. Don’t be surprised if a Brute shows up at this point. There is plenty of room to fight the big man, but you can also sprint right past him and jump downstairs.
Destroy Statue 6
Upstairs was relatively quiet compared to the ground floor. Unless you slowly wipe out the Luchadores, a fair number of them will be around the last statue.
Make a dash for it and grab anyone close for a quick neck snap. Finish off any other pests and destroy the last statue.
If you didn’t kill the Brute upstairs you now have two big threats to deal with. The Brute will hunt you down no matter where you run, so take a stand anywhere you can shoot and run without a lot of interference from his pals.
The other big threat is the Luchadore Grenadier in the middle of the center room. This combatant likes to fire off a bunch of grenades, then duck and pivot. Fire on him just after he stoops shooting and circle around as he fires.
The fight isn’t over when these two big fellas go down. Grab the GL G20 from the fallen Grenadier and start running to get some space from the pair of Flamethrower Brutes. Get as much distance as possible before turning around and opening fire because they can cover ground quickly. The stairs may provide a bit a hurdle for them, but make sure to keep moving and firing. Another technique to deal with them is to slow or stop long enough for them stop running to ignite the flamethrower. Blast them during the short time it takes them to stop and arm their weapon, but make sure you are gone before the flames spray out and hit you.
Clean up any stragglers to claim the 3 Count Casino as a Stronghold.
Murderbrawl XXXI (Killbane Arc)

Respect Earned: 4,000

Defend the Ring
It’s time for the main event between Eddie Killbane Pryor and the Stilwater Butcher (you). But this match is really a setup for Angel to get his revenge on Killbane. You strut your stuff, performing a classic wrestling intro, but before you enter the ring the spotlight is handed over to Angel, who charges the ring. This is the fight the fans have been dreaming about for years and the crowd goes wild.
This is not going to be a fair fight but that should be expected. When the action kicks off in the ring, the Luchadores converge on the squared stage. Run over to the entrance and engage the rushing wave of cheaters.
When the flood of Luchadores has been abated, focus on the ring and the cheaters trying to interfere with the match. Going into this match you were weaponless, but the Luchadores were kind enough to bring some melee weapons with them. Pick up cricket bat or other blunt instrument and protect the ring from the distracting cheaters.
Continue to clear the Luchadores from the ring and keep your eye on the yellow meter in the upper left to check on Angel’s health. If the ring is clear, run by the entrances to swat the incoming waves of Luchadores.
Protect Angel
Angel makes a bad move in the ring and Killbane tosses him over the ropes and on to the floor. The Luchadores pounce on Angel and kick him unmercifully.
You arrive in the nick of time with the Murderbrawl chain saw! Cut the Luchadores like lunch meat and protect Angel. Keep up the bloodbath and chop up anyone close to Angel. Monitor Angel’s green life bar and the gauge in the upper left to check on your progress while protecting him.
The chain saw fun is cut short as the Luchadores stop charging into their doom. Check on Angel, who is not doing too well. Unfortunately, he won’t have a chance to avenge his loss tonight. His broken leg has put an abrupt end to his quest and it is up to the Stilwater Butcher to finish the job. Climb into the ring to finish off Eddie.
Defeat Killbane
It’s no use trying to physically attack the larger and stronger wrestler without some type of setup. Trading blows with the pro will only end up in a beatdown. Victory in the ring actually consists of a series of several scripted phases.
Grab any foreign object tossed in the ring and weaken the giant brawler with a little blunt trauma. After several swings Killbane will counterattack.
Quickly tap the button shown on-screen to avoid the assault and land a kill switch countermove. The Stilwater Butcher ducks under Killbane’s legs and lands a reverse drop kick.
When Killbane is doubled over, reeling from the drop kick, run up and press the button to jump on his back. Steer Killbane into the turnbuckle in the corner using punches to make him move.
Finally, when Killbane is senseless in the corner, press the corresponding button shown on the HUD to deliver a devastating attack.
After you get in two series of dodge-and-counter moves on Killbane, the Luchadores jump in the ring. Pick up anything lying around and swat the intruders like flies. Perform one more series of counters on Killbane and he is finished.
Player’s Choice
There are two ways to end the fight: Unmask the wrestler to get his mask, or spare him and he will teach you his devastating Apoca-Fist move. Each way comes with its own reward, but there is a lot of satisfaction in removing his mask and destroying his reputation.
His fellow Luchadores try to calm Killbane down, but his devastating loss has made him snap. If he was ruthless before, now he is mad with destructive rage and he will destroy the city if he can’t rule it.
