2.6 New Wishes
Encountering new objects, like this arcade table, can inspire new wishes.
Living the hectic life of a performer allows your Sim to encounter a variety of new things in Starlight Shores.
With each new experience comes wishes associated directly with it. For example, if your Sim sees a photo booth at a venue, they may wish to have their picture taken in a photo booth.
As these wishes occur to your Sims, you can either promise or dismiss them—you can have up to four active wishes at a time.
Each fulfilled wish rewards your Sim with Lifetime Happiness points.
Wishes are a good way to advance your Sim at work or at home. Pursuing a wish related to a career will often build career experience in the process of fulfillment, helping your Sim level up.
The new wishes in Showtime are split across six different categories: career, performance/venue, Genie, object, SimPort, and traits.
Career wishes are likely to spring from a Sim in that specific job path. Performance/Venue wishes often require a Sim to perform a certain action at a venue or on-stage.
Some of the Genie wishes shown here apply only to playable Genies who have been freed from their Dusty Old Lamp—yes, Genies have wishes too.
Some of the new objects in Showtime inspire new wishes as well. Your Sims will also have SimPort-based wishes, making them eager to go on tour or host friends. There are even a few wishes associated with the new traits. These wishes mingle with the existing wishes from The Sims 3 as well as any previous expansion packs...
