A few folks were bummed when Sony announced that the long-awaited sequel Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time wouldn't be coming out this year.  But don't worry, you won't have to wait long for the master thief's latest adventure to unfold.

Sony has officially stamped a release date for the sequel on both PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.  It'll be arriving on U.S. shores starting February 5th, available in both physical and digital form on both systems.  What's more, it's fully compatible with Sony's new cross-buy feature, meaning that if you buy one version, you'll be able to download the other for no additional charge.  One game, two platforms – you can't go wrong with that.

If you want to try out Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time in the meantime, you can.  The recently released Ratchet and Clank HD Collection comes packaged with a demo for the game, and though it's brief, it shows you that Sly hasn't lost his touch over the years.
