Grab the Propeller Box at the start of the level, and use it to climb up along the platforms. The Propeller Box is required to move between areas, so there are more of them located throughout the level.

When you reach the Blocks at Point 2, fly up to the ledge above you. Run to the left until you find the Star Medal, then head back to the right and drop down to the main path...
