Ghost Recon Wildlands Beta – How to Invite Friends

Find out exactly how to send and receive friend invites for the Ghost Recon Wildlands Beta this weekend.

The Ghost Recon Wildlands closed Beta is finally upon us. Codes are being sent out in waves and with every code from Ubisoft, you can invite up to three friends to join you. However, some people have been asking how to invite friends to the Wildlands Beta and we’re here to answer that question for you. If you’ve been having trouble sending or receiving friend invites to the Ghost Recon Wildlands Beta, read below to find out what you can do to solve the problem.

Getting a Beta Code

It should be clearly stated that the Ubisoft servers are getting hammered right now. If you’re having issues getting a code or sending codes to friends, give it some time or wait until later tonight when server traffic isn’t as heavy. This solves the problem of people not receiving friend codes or getting friend codes for the wrong platform.

Codes are going out in waves, so if you didn’t get one initially, check again and you may have one now. It appears as though all waves have now been dispatched. If you want to check on your Beta invite status, head over to the Ubisoft account dashboard. Login with your Uplay information and you will see a tab in the lower right titled, “Beta Access.” If you have access to the Wildlands Beta, you will see it listed in the Beta Access section. This is also where you can find a key code to access the Beta.

Once again, the key code will only appear on the Ubisoft site if your account was flagged from Ubisoft to be part of the Beta. If you received your key through any other means it will not be listed in the Beta Access area. If you received a code from somewhere other than Ubisoft, you can head to the Ubisoft support site to turn your “access code” into a Beta key.

Sending Friend Invites

If you’re trying to figure out how to send friend invites out, first make sure you got a code from Ubisoft using the link in the section above to determine if your account is flagged (here’s the link again for the lazy people). Once you’ve confirmed your code came directly from Ubisoft, head over to the Ghost Recon Beta page and login with your Uplay information.

Once logged in you’ll see an Invite Friends tab that will allow you to send codes to people on your Uplay friends list (which will contact your friends via whatever email they have associated with their Uplay account). If you don’t see the Invite Friends tab, you may need to connect to the Beta portal before it appears. There are also some restrictions in place, such as only being able to invite people on the same platform you’re playing on. If you have an Xbox One code, you can’t invite someone on the PlayStation 4. Likewise, Japan, China and North Korea are not eligible for the Beta.

If you’re still having issues with the Beta or inviting friends, try doing this process on a PC as some of the tabs/links you need will not appear properly on mobile or iPad. You may also need to wait a few hours for server traffic to die down. Ubisoft is aware of the issues some people are having and they’re working on resolving them.
