Runic Games games announced that the long anticipated Torchlight 2 will finally arrive September 20, 2012. The game was originality set to release in 2011 before Diablo III, but is now coming out well after Blizzard's game.

“I don't think there's much else I could say that would interest you right now, so - the official release date for Torchlight 2 is Thursday, September 20th, 2012. Three weeks away!" said Runic president Travis Baldree on the official Torchlight 2 blog. "We'll announce it 'more' officially and bigger tomorrow. You know first! Thank all of you for being an awesome and patient community. We look forward to getting this into your hands!"

The Torchlight sequel will be roughly four times the size of the original dungeon-crawling game.
