Ubisoft has begun pushing its promotions for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed III and its PS Vita spin-off Assassin’s Creed III Liberation. Not only are the advertisements coming out in full force, but the company is also planning something unique on the web front, as it has begun purchasing certain domains for a program that’s being called Assassin’s Creed Initiates.
The following domains have been registered by the company, and you can pretty much tell what the theme is…
ac-initiate.com
ac-initiates.com
acinitiate.com
acinitiates.com
assassins-initiate.com
assassins-initiates.com
assassinscreed-initiate.com
assassinscreedinitiates.com
assassinscreedinitiate.com
assassinscreedinitiates.com
assassinsinitiate.com
assassinsinitiates.com
Unfortunately, Ubisoft did not yet reveal what the purpose behind the Initiates project is, so your guess is as good as ours. They might be taking the live-action movie route again, as they did with Assassin’s Creed: Lineage last year, or perhaps it’s a Facebook-related game where progress can be tied in with Assassin’s Creed III.
Regardless, Ubisoft is bound to reveal what the Initiates program is all about soon, as both AC III and Liberation are set to release on October 30th. We’ll keep you informed on what the company is up to in the week’s ahead. Chances are it’ll be a killer project. (Yes, we know, bad pun…)
