It’s been ages since we’ve heard from Chris Roberts, the iconic creator of the Wing Commander series. He’s been busy for the last few years on something, maybe trying to wipe away the painful memory of the awful Wing Commander film featuring…Freddie Prinze Jr.? Yeah.
Anyway, Roberts has announced through a newly launched website (link: http://robertsspaceindustries.com) that he is providing certain users with a “golden ticket” to see his latest project, which is set to be unveiled through GDC Online on October 10th around 7 AM PDT. He’s doing so as the boss of Cloud Imperium, a team that is “dedicated to high end gaming and anything involving spaceships”.
So what could it be? Your guess is as good as ours, but if it’s anything like the Wing Commander games – with Mark Hamill in tow – we’re definitely down. Look for more information soon!
