Mixer Unveils New Apex Legends HypeZone

Mixer has unveiled a new HypeZone for Apex Legends that streamers on the platform will definitely want to check out!

Mixer recently announced the launch of a brand new HypeZone for Apex Legends in partnership with developer Respawn Entertainment and publisher Electronic Arts. For those unfamiliar with Mixer, a “HypeZone” is a type of dynamic livestream where viewers can tune in and cycle between several different streamers at once.

In the past, Mixer has created HypeZones for other popular multiplayer games including PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Fortnite, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. In order to have their channel featured in the HypeZone for Apex Legends, streamers are typically required to be close to a potential victory.

Streamers also need to ensure that key match details including “kills” and “squads left” are viewable in the upper right corner of the screen. This means the streamer’s camera should ideally be placed on the left side of the screen, and other overlays including notifications should either be turned off or set to display in a way so as to not obstruct match info.

The purpose of focusing on streamers who are close to victory is to essentially keep things interesting for Mixer viewers. HypeZone streams are all action, no filler. As added incentive for streamers, wins and kills will be tracked with the top 10 streamers prominently featured in the Apex Legends HypeZone each week.

Meanwhile, to encourage gamers to check out the new Apex Legends HypeZone, Mixer is also hosting a MixPot sweepstakes. With this sweepstakes in place, all HypeZone viewers have the chance to win an Apex Legends Starter Pack on Xbox One (sorry PlayStation 4 and PC players).

Included in the Apex Legends Starter Pack are 600 Apex Coins, an exclusive Feeding Frenzy Badge, and an exclusive animated Blue Fade RE45 weapon skin. To enter the sweepstakes, you’ll need to have a Mixer account and be signed into that account while watching streams in the Apex Legends HypeZone between now and March 12, 2019.
