Borderlands 2 DLC E3 2019 Plans Leak to “Bridge” Into Borderlands 3

It looks like there's still more yet to enjoy in Borderlands 2 ahead of Borderland's 3 release later this year.

Gearbox has already confirmed that we’ve got a special Borderlands surprise for E3 2019 for those looking forward to the third game in the base franchise. Now it looks like it won’t just be a celebration for the future of the games, but for the current Borderlands 2 as well.

According to PlayStation Lifestyle, a trusted source revealed that there will be new Borderlands 2 DLC revealed during the showcase meant to bridge the gap between the current game and the third title coming up. The ending of the DLC will reportedly lead right into the beginning of Borderlands 3, yet another way for fans of this series to get the uttermost out of it before the newest adventure arrives.

The site also revealed that the DLC will be called Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary and will let the cast of the second game have “one last hurrah” before Borderlands 3 launches. The same report also mentions that the DLC will go live that same week, giving players ample time to get some game time in before September’s debut date.

We were at the gameplay reveal event earlier this month and had an absolute blast with our hands-on time with the game. You can read all about what we thought right here, with a small blurb below:

“Despite a few technical difficulties and Cyclone nightmare, Borderlands 3 was everything I wanted to be. Though the Calypso Twins, the game’s main villain, might not be to everyone’s taste due to their off-brand streamer personalities, the overall experience felt incredibly familiar while offering up a new experience at the same time.”

As for the game itself, Borderlands 3 is slated for a September 13th release date on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC through Epic Games.
