The first thing you’ll need to do is find the blueprint for the Violet Ray Device. This item can always be found on the bench beside the building with the yellow frame. Pick it up, and then look for the workbench right next to it to get started.

How to Build the Violet Ray Device

Once you’ve started the blueprint by placing it on the workbench, it’s time to find all four of the pieces that you need to build this high-powered disintegrator pistol. The four pieces are scattered around the map, though they will always in the same places, so be sure to memorize the locations that we have listed down below.

The first piece of the device is found in the trash can by the workbench where you found the weapon’s blueprint. Search the trash can and pick up the item to get started.

The second piece you should find is in a shopping cart in the parking lot across from the yellow building where you found the blueprint. Look inside the cart and then interact with the item to claim it and add it to your collection.

To find the third piece of the Violet Ray Device, head up the road on the hill and look out for a green dumpster on the side of the road. Search behind this trash dump to find the third piece that you need to complete the weapon.

The fourth and final piece of the Violet Ray Device can be obtained by climbing all the way to the rooftop of the yellow building. Once you have the piece, head back down and interact with the workbench to build the weapon.

Now that you know how to build the Violet Ray Device, it’s time to learn how to activate the Pack-a-Punch, or even how to turn on the power, that way you can start grabbing some of the many perks available around the map.

The Violet Ray is a great weapon because it disintegrates any zombies caught in its blast radius, allowing you to clear out entire lines of zombies if you line them up just right. It’s a nifty little weapon that gives you a great advantage, especially as you head into later rounds of the match.
