Capcom’s fantasy game, Deep Down, has been shrouded in mystery since the unveiling at the PlayStation 4 press conference earlier this year. However, last night, during its online pre-TGS presentation, the company revealed some more information about the game – and it isn’t nearly as medieval as we thought.
The game takes place in New York during the year 2094, where players fight their way through a series of randomly generated caves. Various monsters and enemies will get in their way, and they’ll have to fight using a number of weapons to escape.
In addition, the game will let you “read” the past from objects that surround the character, which will also tie into the gameplay somehow – though Capcom has yet to reveal how this works.
You can watch the latest trailer for Deep Down below. The game currently doesn’t have a release date, but is likely to arrive sometime in 2014.
