Bungie Community Manager Confirms Crimson Days Event Is Coming to Destiny 2

The Valentine’s day-themed event will return, but it will be different than it was last time.

Now that Destiny 2’s holiday event, The Dawning, is wrapped up, players are already starting to look ahead to the game’s next big event, Crimson Days. Set around Valentine’s day, the Crimson Days event will kick off sometime in February, and it will add some additional things for players to get into.

The rumors of Crimson Days’ return to Destiny began in a Reddit thread, which received confirmation about the events arrival next month from Community Manager, Cosmo. Though, according to Cosmo, the Crimson Days event will be changing some this year, as he stated it “won’t be like it was last time”. According to the Reddit post, we should expect more details about the event to be revealed during the blog update which will arrive this Thursday.

That means players have a day left until they learn more details about the event. Again, according to Cosmo, the event will be quite different than it was last time. But, if the past Crimson Days is any example, then players can at least expect to see some new cosmetic items, as well as some new missions to under take throughout the world.

The official announcement for the Crimson Days will no doubt come with the “This Week at Bungie” blog update on January 11. That will be the first update in 2018 from the studio, and it will be interesting to see what kind of tweaks and changes the game receives following the update. For now, though, players can rest easy knowing that next month does indeed mark the return of the Crimson Days event. Now it’s just a matter of figuring out what the event will hold and how long it will run.
