Destiny 2 at Capacity Meaning

If you’re trying to login to Destiny 2, and you’re getting a message stating that Destiny 2 is at Capacity, then things are really pretty straightforward. Basically this means that the servers are chock full of players, and you’ve been placed in a queue that will automatically place you into the game once a spot opens up. Now, obviously like any good queue, this is first come, first serve, so you could be waiting a while.

Unfortunately, there really isn’t a way that you can skip around this message, and the only way to really get into the game when you receive this message is to be patient. We’re sure that Bungie will add more servers to the game as they have time to—they are dealing with a massive launch right now—so just stay calm, go grab a drink, walk the dog, and just give it a few minutes to sort itself out.

If you find yourself waiting quite a while, we’d actually suggest maybe trying something else out. Go play a round of another multiplayer game, or do some reading in our Destiny 2 guide to see where you should head next in the Destiny world. No matter what you decide to do, stay patient, give the queue a little time to empty out, and then things will be back to normal.

For now, though, we’d definitely suggest that Destiny 2 fans get used to seeing this message, as Destiny 2 servers are sure to get even more crowded as the new raid hits on September 13, so fans should be prepared to see this message a bit more as Bungie gets everything sorted around the game’s launch. We’re not sure how long this queue will persist, or if Bungie has plans to add more servers to the game, so we’ll simply have to wait and see what happens in the coming days.

For now, though, you can head over to our Destiny 2 guide, where you’ll have plenty of helpful articles to assist you in your journey to stop Ghaul, save the Traveler, and prepare for the Leviathan raid.
