Destiny 2: Warmind Sleeper Simulant Quest

Before you can start the quest for the Sleeper Simulant, you’ll need to complete the main campaign in the Warmind DLC. Once you’ve completed the main campaign you gain access to the Data Recovery world quest. Data Recovery consists of two missions, Legacy Code and A Piece of the Past. Complete both missions and you’ll be able to collect the IKELOS_HC_V.1.0.1 legendary hand cannon on your way to the Sleeper Simulant quest.

Once you’ve got both missions done, head back to Ana Bray and you’ll be able to start the first main step toward obtaining the Sleeper Simulant.

Violent Intel Quest Step

  • Hive Defeated
  • Cabal Defeated

The first part of the quest is more about doing patrols, public events, and lost sectors than anything else, especially since both fast travel points are located within the Hellas Basin. When you load into a new area, double check that you’re still within the Hellas Basin. When it comes to taking down enemies, the Cabal needs to be precision shots. We recommend loading into the Ma’Adim Subterrane lost sector to do this, but the choice is yours. You’ll only need three runs to complete the task at hand.

When you get to the Hive, a single Escalation Protocol run should be more than enough. Keep in mind, the kills don’t need to be precision in order to count toward the quest. You’ll need to have an IKELOS weapon equipped, but you don’t actually have to score any kills with the weapon. You can use whatever weapon you wish so long as the IKELOS is equipped.

Rasputin’s Culling

  • Powerful Enemies Defeated

You can complete this next quest step in any location. If you want to leave Mars, now is the time to do so. You can even head back to Earth to run Glimmer Extraction heroic public events. If you follow our lead, use the Curtain Call rocket launcher to blast yellow-bar Fallen. Completing three Glimmer Extraction heroic public events will finish off this part of the quest.

Warmind’s Glory

  • Heroic strikes completed

At the moment, heroic strikes are set at 350 Power, but it’s unlikely gear will drop that’s at or above that level, which means you’re going to be spending a lot of time on this portion of the quest. Pull up the in-game Director and select the heroic strike playlist, as you’ll need to complete five of them. Like the previous step in the quest, make sure you have an IKELOS weapon equipped, but you can score your kills with any weapon you’d like.

Nodes and Protocols

  • Escalation Protocol Levels
  • Sleeper Nodes Accessed

Right now, the most difficult activity in the game is probably Escalation Protocol. You need to clear three of them, which is no small task at this point in time. Finish off your weekly milestones to get more Power and make this a bit easier (although no less time-consuming). Sleeper Nodes aren’t quite as difficult, but you’ll still need 60 Resonate Stem consumables. In addition, you’ll need to find and loot the Sleeper Nodes, and an IKELOS weapon must be equipped throughout.

Perfect Form

  • Complete the Will of the Thousands Mission

The very last final step in this lengthy quest is to finish the final mission of the Warmind DLC, which is Will of the Thousands. Of course you’ll need to have an IKELOS weapon equipped throughout. You’ll need 360 Power for this one, which just happens to be 10 points higher than a heroic strike and will offer quite a challenge if you’re not already near 360 Power. When you’re done with the mission, the Sleeper Simulant is awarded at a higher Power level so you can make life a bit easier for yourself.
