Walmart Black Friday 2014 Ad

Say what you will about spending time with family on Thanksgiving, but Walmart will be open November 27, with deals that carry over to Black Friday.  If you finish dinner and can’t stand NFL football, driving to your nearest store for cheap video games isn’t a bad idea.

Several games are on sale for $35 each, including NBA 2K15, Diablo 3 and Mario Kart 8. Then we have Wolfenstein: The New Order. Bethesda’s reimaging of the classic 90s first person shooter features mechanical monsters and plenty of Nazis to slaughter, set in an alternate universe where Germany came out on top.  Suffice to say, hero William B.J. Blazkowicz has a lot of work to do, and so will you in this intense adventure.  Buy The New Order and then beat Wolfenstein with our free strategy guides.

In addition, you can buy FIFA 15 for $35. We love this year’s effort. New visual features like grass stains on player jerseys and bendable corner flags add to the realism, while entertaining goal celebrations and lifelike commentary make this arguably the best FIFA ever made.

If you have extra cash, splurge on Destiny. Activision and Bungie’s popular first person shooter lets you select from Hunter, Titan or Warlock classes attempting to figure out their place in the universe. Explore Earth, Mars and Venus solo, or team up with friends to kill the Hive, Fallen and Vex while collecting as much loot as your digital pockets can carry.

Survival horror fans, meanwhile, can pick up The Evil Within for $35.  The terrifying adventure is a cool throwback to the Resident Evil series, with all sorts of scary monsters to blast. Ammo is at a premium, so don’t shoot unless absolutely necessary.

Save even more money with games for $25. You can’t go wrong with Infamous Second Son, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Rogue, but our money is on Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. WB Games’ Lord of the Rings spin-off casts you as a vengeful ranger out to terrorize thousands of Uruks. The innovative Nemesis System shifts the balance of power among the creatures while at the same time creating rivalries. It’s bloody, beautiful and one heck of a good time.

Best Buy Black Friday 2014 Ad

Similar to Walmart, you can pick up Shadow of Mordor at Best Buy for $24.99, except you can also grab The Evil Within and Wolfenstein at that price as well, which is $10 cheaper.

Personally, we can’t resist Alien: Isolation at $29.99. Sega’s creepy adventure is a wonderful homage to the 1979 Ridley Scott film, with Ellen Ripley’s daughter outwitting a wicked smart xenomorph aboard a chaotic space station.

PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners, meanwhile, can buy Dark Souls 2 for $14.99.  The sequel to From Software’s third person adventure sends players on one of the toughest journeys in video game history, with a variety of punishing bosses. You’ll definitely get your monies worth.

Let’s say you’re in the market for a PS4 or Xbox One. Best Buy has you covered. You can buy a PlayStation 4 with Grand Theft Auto 5 and The Last of Us Remastered for just $399.99, while there’s an Xbox One bundle with Assassin’s Creed Unity and Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag for $329.99.

Meanwhile, Nintendo fans can pull the trigger on the Wii U with a Best Buy deal no one should pass up. You’ll receive a 32GB Wii U system with Super Mario 3D World, Nintendo Land, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze and Super Smash Bros. for just $359.97. Insane!

Target Black Friday 2014 Ad

To be fair, Target has similar deals to Walmart and Best Buy, with The Evil Within and Shadow of Mordor at $25 each. You can, however, pick up NHL 15 on Xbox One and PS4 at 50 percent off, and the same holds true for Madden NFL 15. Being that we’re in the thick of the NFL season, Madden always makes a great gift.

Should you find yourself at Target on Black Friday, consider buying certain games at full price. Yes, that sounds ridiculous, but you’ll receive a $15 Target gift card for buying Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Far Cry 4, WWE 2K15, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, Mario Kart 8, Destiny or Super Smash Bros. for Wii U

We love Far Cry 4. It’s without question one of the best-looking and deepest shooters available on PS4 and Xbox One. Spend 30 minutes in this game and you’ll feel like you’re in a different country, filled with hidden collectibles, elephants and tigers.

You can also buy cheap Disney Infinity and Skylanders figures at Target for $10 each. Now’s your chance to pick up Tinkerbell, Maleficent and Donald Duck

Will you go shopping on Black Friday? Which games will you buy?

Microsoft Store Black Friday 2014 Ad

Don’t get rid of your Xbox 360 yet! Microsoft has several quality deals on different 360 games. You can buy Call of Duty: Ghosts for just $4.99! In addition, Tomb Raider is $9.99, Saints Row 4 is $19.99 and one of the best games ever made, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, is also $9.99. Literally hours of gameplay for less than $50.

Amazon Black Friday Ad 2014

Although Amazon throws the majority of its virtual eggs into the Cyber Monday basket, it still has Black Friday deals. In fact, it chose to count down to the event wth a variety of daily discounts. Right now you can save $50 on Xbox One consoles, while the Destiny Limited Edition is 10 percent off. Both deals end November 27.
