Destiny: Rise of Iron is nearly upon us, and while we’ll be covering all the new missions, collectibles, and Exotic Weapons and gear in more detail as the week wears on, we wanted to take a quick moment to look at all the exclusive content that PlayStation 4 Guardians have to look forward to. In this article we’ll detail everything we know about the exclusive items thus far. Keep reading to learn more about the exclusive items, which include a new ship, an intriguing quest, and a new competitive map set on Mercury.
Exclusive Crucible Map – Icarus
The first thing on our list is the new exclusive Crucible map, Icarus. This decrepit Golden Age solar farm has remained untouched by the Vex for reasons that aren’t yet clear. Currently under surveillance by the Warlock orders, the Vanguard leaders have denied any petitions by the current weapon foundries to research the location. Of course, this denial doesn’t affect the Crucible’s leader, Lord Shaxx, and his followers, as Guardians have been cleared to use the decaying solar farm as a life-fire training zone. This new map will support any six versus six game mode, and is a mid-sized map with several close quarter areas situated inside of an open air arena.
Exclusive Quest – Show of Strength
The next item on the list is a special Sony PlayStation 4 exclusive quest. Joining the ranks of Echo Chamber strike and the Essence of Darkness quest that made their way into the hearts of PlayStation Guardians with the release of The Taken King last September, Show of Strength is a special quest that will unlock an exclusive reward that can only be obtained on the PlayStation 4. The quest, which seems to be given to you by Tyra Karn, tasks you with learning more about the brutal, SIVA infected Devil Splicer’s that now call the Plaguelands home. Exclusive Ship – Timeless Tereshkova
Joining the ranks of the illustrious Velumbra Sparrow, this outstanding looking ship will only be available to Guardians who take the plunge and stand against the Devil Splicer’s on the PlayStation 4 version of Destiny: Rise of Iron. It will be rewarded upon completion of the PlayStation on 4 exclusive quest line, Show of Strength. We’ll have more details on that questline, as well as more details about this ship, when the expansion pack releases tomorrow, September 20. Check back then for more details and information.
