It’s Tuesday, which means it is time for another Destiny Weekly Reset. This week we see the return of Cerberus Vae 3, the Cult of the Worm, and Thalnok, the Fanatic of Crota as the various events of the Destiny universe come full circle. We’ve got all the details below, so be sure to take a look and see what you’re up against as we prepare for the final weeks before Destiny: Rise of Iron.
Prison of Elders
First up on the agenda, the Prison of Elders will feature both Machine Wrath and Cult of the Worm this week. Machine Wrath will take over the Level 32 PoE, while Cult of the Worm will challenge players as they try to complete the Level 34 Prison of Elders.
Challenge of Elders
If you’re looking to take down your Challenge of Elders Scorecard, and fill up its slots, you’re going to need to be ready to face the Vex, Cabal, and Hive as you fight your way through the CoE’s three challenge rounds. The three rounds include:
- Round 1: Overmind Minotaur (Vex)
- Round 2: Sylok, the Defiled (Hive)
- Round 3: Noru’usk, Servant of Oryx (Cabal)
This week’s modifiers lineup with challenge players with Exposure, Specialist, and Super Kill Bonus.
Ah, the Nightfall. The strike that we all love to hate. Let’s face it, sometimes the Nightfall just doesn’t feel like it is worth the hassle. The good news? This isn’t one of those weeks. Players will need to take on the Cerberus Vae 3 strike with Void Burn, Berserk, Brawler, and Airborne. It shouldn’t be too tough of a week, as the strike features three modifiers that can be used to your advantage. Of course, you will need to watch out of Psions, whose Void-based attacks will be devastating thanks to the Void Burn modifier running during the strike.
Court of Oryx
Those looking to take down the tier 3 baddies of The Taken King’s court will want to ready themselves as Thalnok, Fanatic of Crota steps back into the ring. If you’re having trouble with the fight, don’t worry, we’ve put together a quick guide to help you take him down without much trouble.
The Weekly Reset brings Inferno 6v6 and Freelance 3v3 back to the Crucible lineup. You can launch these modes by choosing the corresponding options from the Destiny navigator after booting up the game and going to orbit.
King’s Fall Raid Challenge
Players who still need to grab all the various challenges set within the King’s Fall Raid will be going head to head with Oryx during this week’s raid challenge. We’d suggest bringing along people who know their way around the Raid, as they will be extremely helpful in making sure you acquire this goal.
The final thing on the agenda is Sterling Treasure Chests. One can be obtained freely from the Postmaster each week, after the reset, and two more can be acquired by playing the game. Players can grab one from the Level 41 Prison of Elders, and one can also be nabbed by completing a full game in the Weekly Crucible Playlist. These chests will drop armor pieces exclusive to The Taken King, which you can then infuse to high Light Levels using the game’s infusion system.
That’s all the details for the Destiny Weekly Reset for September 6, and all the information you need to get started can be found above. We’re only a few short weeks out from Rise of Iron, so make sure to save up your Exotic Shards, Motes of Lights, and other materials to make sure you’re ready for what Bungie has coming next. We’ll be covering Destiny pretty extensively over the next couple of weeks, so be sure to stay tuned for tips on how to acquire more Motes of Light, Weapon Materials, and other items you’ll want to make sure you have for the new expansion pack.
