Id Software Reveals Details For Next Month’s QuakeCon

Maybe id's next project will be announced.

Attending QuakeCon next month in Dallas? Well, aside from bringing your computer for LAN tournaments, you might also want to bring you’re A-game when it comes to knowing who’s who in panels. Today, the company revealed details about what panels will be held at the four day event, as well as the games you’ll be able to try out when you aren’t fragging your buddies.

Id founder John Carmack will once again deliver the keynote address to kick off the event, and soon after, you’ll be able to check out panels such as “The Game of Making Games,” “Designing Multiplayer Games That Last” and “Idle Thumbs Podcast Live: Arena.” These panels will include the likes of Marty Stratton from id Software, Ted Price from Insomniac Games, Chet Faliszek and Tom Leonard from Valve, and Geoff Keighley with GameTrailers TV.

 

In addition, you’ll also be able to try out new Bethesda games, including the upcoming Doom 3: BFG Edition and Dishonored. Good times indeed.

 

QuakeCon takes place at the Hilton Anatole hotel from Thursday August 2nd through Sunday August 5th. If you’ve got tickets, enjoy yourself…and buy us a Quake shirt!
