The Dark Zone is one of the most popular components in Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, and there are a variety of ways to enjoy the area from cooperative play to looting. If you’re uninterested in playing by the rules, you can “go Rogue” in the Dark Zone and open up additional PvP options, including the ability to attack other players.
Not only can you attack other Agents after going Rogue, you can also steal from them in order to beef up your stockpile of items. The caveat to going Rogue in the Dark Zone is that after you go Rogue, your position is immediately revealed to nearby Agents who all have the ability to kill you and put a stop to your shenanigans.
As long as you come prepared though, this shouldn’t be too difficult to manage. To go Rogue in the Dark Zone, you’ll need to either press and hold Menu on Xbox One, the Touchpad on PlayStation 4, or Shift + Z on PC. After that, confirm that you want to go Rogue and you’re all set!
Other ways to go Rogue include stealing from Extraction Points, looting special high-tier chests, and hacking terminals to name just a few. Note that after you go Rogue, your status as a Rogue Agent is temporary. Because of this, it’s not recommended that you go Rogue right as you enter the Dark Zone.
Instead, if your plan is to steal items, wait until you’re in the vicinity of those items before going Rogue. Keep in mind that as a Rogue Agent, other Agents have the ability to view your location and hunt you down regardless of their status (Rogue or not).
As long as you’re prepared to tackle the risks involved, going Rogue can be a fun way to experience the Dark Zone in Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.
