Dragon Ball FighterZ has been in the news quite a bit lately, with the recent addition of Nappa and Captain Ginyu (complete with the Ginyu Force) added to the roster, and the Japanese release date confirmed for February 1, 2018. Now North America gets similar treatment as Bandai Namco has officially confirmed the North American release date for Dragon Ball FighterZ. Read on to find out all of the new Dragon Ball FighterZ information that was released today!

Dragon Ball FighterZ Release Date

  • January 26, 2018

Dragon Ball FighterZ will release in North America on January 26, 2018, a full week before the Japanese release of the game. As we covered in our coverage of pre-order details, if you pre-order the game, not only will you gain instant access to Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta (instead of having to unlock them in-game), you’ll also get early access to the open beta that’s taking place sometime in January. While we don’t have an exact start date on the open beta, pre-orders will get in a little earlier than everyone else. Digital pre-orders are live right now, so hop to it!

Dragon Ball FighterZ DLC Details

  • 8 DLC Characters

Bandai Namco has also confirmed that a Character Pass will be available that includes eight DLC characters at a discounted price. This is the first confirmation that there will be at least eight fighters included as DLC for Dragon Ball FighterZ. While we don’t yet know who these characters will be, or even the rest of the launch roster, it’s good to see that the game will be supported for at least the first year.

Dragon Ball FighterZ Ultimate Edition

  • 8 DLC Characters
  • 11 Anime Songs
  • Commentator Voice Pack

Finally, Bandi Namco has also announced Dragon Ball FighterZ Ultimate Edition, which includes the FighterZ Pass with all eight DLC characters, 11 songs from the anime and a commentator voice pack for the game. We can confirm that “CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA", "WE GOTTA POWER", and the most famous endings and background music will be included, but we don’t yet have a full track listing of the anime songs that will be included or which commentators will be in the voice pack.
