Rumor: Dust 514 Launching On PlayStation Network Next Month

Eve Online's long awaited shooter may be ready for its debut.

It’s been a long time coming for Dust 514 since it was initially announced for PlayStation 3 and a few of us have been getting into the prolonged beta for the game, shooting up our friends and exploring this brave new world. But it sounds like it won’t be long now before this innovative shooter opens up for everyone.

During a recent interview with Fox Business, SCEA President and CEO Jack Tretton stated that Dust 514 will be “coming out next month,” though he didn’t give a specific date or price point for the in-game content. (It’s supposed to be free-to-play, but the game will have a few micro-transactions.)

Dust is pretty fun thus far, and offers plenty of multiplayer mayhem once you get it downloaded to your system. We’ll have some impressions for you before the launch of the game and confirm that it’s coming once the Sony rep gets back to us. In the meantime, if you get invited into the beta, definitely take part. It takes up a lot of space on your hard drive, but it is well worth it.
