Fallout 4 on the cards

“This is not something we're going to do once”

Bethesda’s PR man Pete Hines has stated that the company “clearly intended” to create several games when it acquired the rights to the Fallout series.

“The whole reason we went out and acquired the licence and that we now own Fallout is that we clearly intended to make more than one,” Hines stated when speaking to TVG. “This is not something we’re going to do once and then go away and never do it again.

“When that will be or how long that will be god only knows, but we acquired it specifically because we wanted to own it and develop it and work on it like we do with The Elder Scrolls,” Hines added.

This had been talked of publicly back in 2004 after Bethesda licensed Fallout 3, 4 and 5.

Full rights to the franchise were acquired from Interplay in 2007.

Fallout 3 is to be available on PC, Xbox 360 and the PS3 later this year but PS3 users won’t be given access to the DLC.
