Fallout 76 Lays Out 2019 Content Roadmap

Wild Appalachia, Nuclear Winter, and Wastelanders will shake up Fallout 76 this year.

Fallout 76 had a rocky launch, but Bethesda is now confident that it has fixed most of the game’s biggest issues while adding improvements. With this, it’s time for the game to continue moving forward, and the company has provided an early look at the free content that will release in 2019.

The first content update will be Wild Appalachia, which launches on March 12 with content that will release over the course of several weeks. The update will include a series of new quests that will take players deep into the woods to encounter mythical monsters. Brewing and Distilling will be added to the list of features as players discover how to brew Nukashine and other recipes. The new content is topped off with a new Survival game mode, which will up the PvP experience with fewer restrictions and bigger rewards.

Nuclear Winter will launch in the summer, and it promises a new game mode that will introduce an “entirely new way to play Fallout 76.” Additionally, Vaults 96 and 94 are opening for high-level players to raid while a new prestige system bestows players level 50 and above with “Legendary” status by resetting their characters with more powerful abilities.

The third and final content update, Wastelanders, is expected to release in the fall. Although Bethesda hasn’t revealed specific details yet, the developers say that it will be the “biggest and most ambitious update for 76. Wastelanders will have a story that includes “true choice and consequences,” with a new main questline, new factions, events and other surprises.
