In Far Cry 4, you’ll visit the city of Kyrat in the Himalayas, where you’ll go head-to-head with a dangerous megalomaniac who proclaimed himself king. In addition, you’ll contend with other enemies, along with the perils within the city itself, including wild animals.

Like the original Far Cry, you’ll be able to travel through an open world, contending with these problems while utilizing a number of new weapons and vehicles.

Ubisoft will reveal more from the game next month at its pre-E3 press conference. We do know, however, that it will arrive on November 18th and mark the series’ franchise debut on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, along with Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

“Following the success of Far Cry 3, we wanted to take the franchise to the next level and create a game that will surprise players and exceed fans’ expectations,” said Dan Hay, Executive Producer.  “Given the unique setting, we feel Far Cry 4 will stand out as a top first-person shooter and we’re eager to reveal more about the game in the coming months.”

Those who wish to pre-order the game will be able to upgrade to a limited edition, which comes with the Hurk’s Redemption add-on pack. This features three new action-packed missions to take on at no charge, as well as special access to the Impaler gun. Plus, fans of Far Cry 3’s DLC will remember that this soldier packs quite a wallop, so it’ll be good to see him in action.
