The Fornite 1% Cup is scheduled to take place on November 17 from 3:00 p.m. (your local time) until 10:00 p.m. and will be region based (NA East, NA West). There will be two Rounds in the Fortnite 1% Cup with Round 1 lasting approximately 3 hours.

In the official rules for the Fortnite 1% Cup as provided by Epic Games, it’s noted that participants can participate in a maximum of 10 matches during Round 1. During these matches, players will need to rack up as many points as possible.

Points are primarily tied to where you rank in a match with a Victory Royale being worth the most points at 6 in total. Once Round 1 ends, “the top 1% of point earning players as listed on the in-game leaderboard will advance to Round 2 of the Event,” Epic Games explains

The registration page for the Fortnite 1% Cup notes that you can earn 6 points per Victory Royale during Round 1. However, the official rules page from Epic Games provides the following point scoring system which is likely applicable to Round 2.

How Much Money Can Be Won In The Fortnite 1% Cup?

At the end of Round 2, the Top 5 performing players with the most points will win cash prizes. As expected, 1st place takes the most money out of the $10,000 total prize pool. Below, we’ve listed all of the cash prizes awarded by rank.

  • 1st Place: $5,000
  • 2nd Place: $2,500
  • 3rd Place: $1,250
  • 4th Place: $800
  • 5th Place: $450

If you’re wondering how you’ll know if you’ve won money, Epic provided the following information in regards to how they’ll contact the winners of the Fortnite 1% Cup.

“With respect to any Epic-awarded prize (“Epic Prize”), the applicable Winning Players will be notified by Epic of their status as a potential Epic Prize winner at the email address associated with such players’ Epic account within 7 days of completion of the Event, or such other time as reasonably required by Epic for such notification, and will be subject to verification of eligibility.”

With that in mind, it’s important to make sure the email address connected to your Fortnite account is up-to-date so you can coordinate receiving money if you’re one of the Top 5 winning players at the end of the Fortnite 1% Cup.

Another rule that Epic includes is that players will need to keep their Epic account that they use during the Fortnite 1% Cup “throughout the verification of eligibility process” so while this note is fairly obvious, you shouldn’t go deleting your Fortnite account after the Fortnite 1% Cup has ended.

In the event you don’t notice Epic’s email, Epic notes that winning players have 45 days from the date the email is sent out to reply and provide Epic with the information needed in order to receive prize money.

With all of that out of the way, any Fortnite player interested in registering for the Fortnite 1% Cup before the event goes live on November 17 can do so via Epic’s website. When you register, you’ll be asked to provide information including what platform you play Fortnite on.

Note that the Fortnite 1% Cup is available to all players regardless of platform so you can compete on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, PC, and even using mobile devices like an Android phone.

For more information on the Fortnite 1% Cup be sure to check out the registration page, and read through the official rules as provided by Epic Games
