Just when you think Gears of War: Judgment has got smooth sailing to its March 2013 release, along comes a little trouble…
It was announced this morning that the creative director on the project, Adrian Chmielarz, has left the development team of People Can Fly. Departing with him are two artists, Andrzej Poznanski and Michal Kosieradzki, who also worked on the project.
But it appears to be amicable. Chmielarz went on Twitter and stated that Judgment was still in good hands, and more information on the project would be revealed soon – possibly this week at GamesCom.
Meanwhile, Epic Games prez Mike Capps made the following statement…
“Adrian Chmielarz, Andrzej Poznanski and Michal Kosieradzki have parted ways with People Can Fly and Epic Games in order to pursue other opportunities, which they will announce of their own accord. Over the past decade, they have been instrumental in building People Can Fly into the talented team that it is today. We wish them well in their future endeavors. People Can Fly remains excited to release Gears of War: Judgment to fans early next year.”
Best of luck to everyone involved…
