Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Coming To Mobile Devices In December

The legacy of Carl Johnson continues.

When it was initially released for PlayStation 2 back in 2004, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas certainly made a lot of waves – but it also became an instant best seller for Rockstar Games. Nine years later, it’s primed to make its return, this time as a mobile release.

Rockstar has announced Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will be available for iOS and mobile devices sometime in December. The game will feature all the action of the original release, but reconfigured with new touchscreen controls and full support for iOS-sanctioned controllers.

For this release, Rockstar has also given the graphics an overhaul so that they take advantage of the higher-up displays available for select mobile devices, which make this “the best-looking version of San Andreas yet,” according to Rockstar’s press post.

No word yet on pricing, but given what previous GTA games have sold for, look for it to release around $9.99.
