All Pigment Locations

There are a total of seven Pigments hidden throughout Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds, and players can look out for these items as they explore the vast snow-filled lands of the Cut. But, if you want to cut down on the time it takes to find them all, this guide will show you the locations of every single Pigment, which you can acquire by interacting with them.

Light Salt Pigment

The first Pigment can be found as you complete the For the Warek quest. Once you are tasked with finding Sekuli, you’ll need to head to Song’s Edge and start making your way up the mountain. She’s sitting on the edge of a platform halfway up the mountain.

Once you’ve talked to her, head north, to the outskirts of Song’s Edge and look out for a large mound at the edge of a clearing, with several people around. Then climb to the top and loot the mound to grab the collectible.

Dark Oxide Pigment

This Pigment can be found by heading northwest until you find a triangle of campfires on the map. One you locate this triangle, head to the center of it, and look out for another mound holding this collectible item.

Medium Oxide Pigment

The third Pigment in the DLC can be found by heading northeast of Song’s Edge and looking out for a Control Tower with a small mound resting nearby. Take out any machines in your way and then interact with the mound to grab this collectible and add it to your collection.

Dark Salt Pigment

Players can find this Pigment collectible be looking around the center area of the Cut—the area added to the game with The Frozen Wilds. Head east of the merchant in the center of the map, and then look for a small intersection, where this mound should be found holding the Pigment collectible.

Light Crystal Pigment

You can acquire this Pigment by heading up to the northern area of the Cut and searching for a mound inside the mountainous area that we’ve marked on the map below. Scoop the Pigment up to add it to your collection.

Medium Crystal Pigment

The next Pigment can be found north of the bandit camp in the northeastern center of the map. Head up away from the bandit camp and look for this collectible at the edge of a cliff. Just be wary of the powerful machines patrolling nearby.

Medium Salt Pigment

Head to the bandit camp that we mentioned in the previous entry and take out all of the enemies inside. This is the only way to gain access to the center of the camp, where you’ll find this mound waiting on a frozen pond-like area. Grab the collectible and then exit the area to add it to your collection.

Dark Crystal Pigment

The final Pigment that you can find in Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds can be found at the top of a mountain in the center of the map. It’s a really tough climb to make it all the way up, so take your time, and don’t be afraid to look around and explore as you make your way to the top. Once you reach the top, you’ll find the collectible item on a small mound—just waiting to be acquired.
