Earlier in the year, Mad Catz announced that it joined up with Microsoft to create a fighting stick for the Xbox One that would coincide with the company’s revamp of the arcade brawler Killer Instinct. Yesterday, Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb revealed the design of the Tournament Edition 2 stick, and it’s very killer instinct-y, indeed.

The stick features a similar layout to what you’d find in arcade games, with an authentic multi-directional joystick and eight arcade-style buttons that you can tap for different functions. It also features the Killer Instinct logo on the top, along with images of in-game characters, including Sabrewulf, Jago, Chief Thunder and Glacier.

Following the pic’s post, Mad Catz’ Mark Julio hit the NeoGAF forums to defend the stick’s design, which some described as “shiny.” “I don’t think they took the thin protective sticker off the stick’s top panel,” he stated. “So it kinda makes the artwork look washed out. It looks much better in person.”

The stick should be in stores later this year, alongside the Killer Instinct game, which will debut on November 22nd for Xbox One – the day the system launches.
