The Last of Us Part II Release Window Reportedly Revealed

The Last of Us Part II looks to be dropping this Fall.

There have been so many rumors about when we’ll finally be getting our hands on the highly anticipated Last of Us sequel, with some saying as early as June! Though some dates have already come and gone, it looks like a new rumor is pinpointing the release for Fall, which falls in line with previous release date projects from industry analysts and fellow developers alike.

According to the most recent rumor, the release window is set for Fall 2019, which makes it a later launch than its predecessor which dropped in June 2013. The latest rumor comes courtesy of two different Spanish websites, Legion de Jugadores and Gamereactor Spain. Both mentioned that a trailer is coming soon ahead of E3, while both claiming an anonymous source has a “confirmed” Fall release.

As always, take all rumors with a grain of salt until the studio itself makes the official announcement. Still, Sony has been on a roll the past several weeks with reveals and teasers, so at the very least a new trailer dropping in the near future seems likely.

Pairing the potential for another reveal for the upcoming sequel with that of Hideo Kojima’s earlier tease of a new trailer for Death Stranding dropping tomorrow, it looks like Sony won’t be negatively impacted by their E3 no-show. There are definitely a lot of people anxious to learn more about what the PlayStation powerhouse has up their sleeves both with new releases and previously known games on the horizon.

For now, it’s all just speculation, though hopefully, Sony will have more to reveal soon about the PlayStation 4 exclusive.

For more about the game according to the game’s official synopsis, “Ellie is now 19 and has found a semblance of peace and normality living in Jackson. She’s had a chance to be a teenager and forge lasting relationships. When that peace is disrupted by a violent act, Ellie is thrust into a brutal journey of retribution, fueled by a need to bring those that have wronged her to justice, pushing her to her very limits.”
