Treehouse Live Reveals Two Collector’s Editions for Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Fans looking to pick up the special edition versions of Breath of the Wild will have to make a choice.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of the most anticipated Nintendo Switch games of the year. Set to release at launch, the game will follow Link on an all-new journey in a completely open world unlike anything the series has ever seen before. According to a new Treehouse Live segment, Zelda fans looking to pick up the special edition of the game will have a choice to make, though, as Nintendo has revealed that it will offer two options for fans to grab.

The Master Edition

The crème de la crème of the special editions is the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Master Edition. This special version of the game will cost $129.99, but the various goodies included should make it worth the cost for long-time Zelda fans.

The Master Edition will include several collectible items, like a special carrying case for the Nintendo Switch, a replica statue of the Master Sword of Resurrection, the game itself, a special music CD featuring the game’s soundtrack, a pristine collector’s coin with the Sheikah Eye embedded on it, and a parchment map of the game’s world.

This version of the game will also be extremely limited in quantity, so fans will want to keep an eye out for it and grab it as quickly as possible.

The Special Edition

Fans who want some of the extra goodies, but aren’t able to justify the $129.99 price tag can pick up the Special Edition of the game, which features many of the same goodies offered in the Master Edition. The biggest difference between the two versions is the Master Sword replica statue, which isn’t included in the lower priced Special Edition version of the game. This version of the game will run for around $99.99, which is roughly $30 cheaper than the top-tier version.

Nintendo representatives have also stated that both special edition versions of the game will be limited in quantity, so fans of the series should keep a close eye on their favorite retailers and scoop one up as soon as they become available.

That’s everything you need to know about the Special Edition and Master Edition versions of the game. If you’re a Legend of Zelda fan, then these are the versions of the game that you’ll want to pick up and add to your collection.
