OoT fire temple problem

Asked about The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D on Dec. 30, 2011, 10:39 a.m. by FlorenceWillierWells

I had finished getting the hammer in the fire temple and saved the game. I had used Farore's Wind to make a portal. I then turned the machine off. When I restarted it, I was back at the very beginning of the temple and the portal point was not there. I tried to just follow the regular path but the platform in the fire wall room, after defeating the flame dancer, isn't there and I can't figure out where to go from there. Anyone have any ideas how I can continue?

Well, its not a problem. When you shut the game of, farores wind disappears. It is for going out of the temple to get hearts or something, or if you are out of arrows and then returning. When you turn off the game, even when it is saved it takes you bach to a certain point. When you are a child, your house, when you are an adult, the temple of time, and if you are in a dungeon, the beginning of the dungeon. It did save your progress, however so you still have your items and you dont have to start the dungeon all over again. Just go back to where you were in the dungeon and continue.
