See the movie, then play the adventure.

A few weeks ago, Warner Bros. debuted the trailer for The Lego Movie, featuring the voice talents of Chris Pratt and Will Ferrell. Now, WB Games has a new video game that will tie in with the film.

The Lego Movie Video Game will launch in 2014 across a number of platforms, including next generation machines Xbox One and PlayStation 4, along with PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PC, Nintendo 3DS and PS Vita.  It will be developed by TT Games, the same company that produced such Lego titles as Lego Lord of the Rings and Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga.

In the game, you portray Emmet, the movie’s hero who is “mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world.”  His goal is to stop an evil tyrant who’s got his own master plan.

The game will allow you to collect Lego instruction pages to build huge sets or wield the power of “Master Builders” to create new Lego items. Over 90 playable characters will be available across 15 levels.

There’s no word yet if Pratt or the other actors will voice their characters from the film, but we should find out soon.

The Lego Movie Video Game should arrive February 2014, around the same time the film hits theaters.
