The Best Vehicles In Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Cruise around in a mini-Millennium Falcon in the newest Lego Star Wars.

While getting around on foot is easy enough in Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, it never hurts to cruise around in a vehicle. You can get around faster, destroy enemies much easier and even run over objects so you can collect bits faster.

We’ve got some prime picks of our favorite vehicles in the game listed below. But, first…

How To Unlock Vehicles In Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens

There are two different ways to unlock vehicles in the game. The first and most general way is by completing chapters in the Story Modes. These will unlock and become available for use in Hub levels, and some will also be available during Free Play flight missions.

The other way is by collecting Minikits. These are hidden throughout each stage, and pop up when you complete certain tasks or find within a stage. They can be tough to stake out, but our Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens eGuide provides all their locations.

Now, then, onto our favorite vehicles!

Endor Speeder Bike

If you’re feeling nostalgic – or you fondly remember the 1983 classic Star Wars: Return of the Jedi – then the Endor Speeder Bike will immediately come to mind. This is the first vehicle that becomes available in Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, available to use once you beat The Battle of Endor. It’s a fun, zippy little bike that’s perfect for speeding around a level, and its size makes it very easy to maneuver.

There are other variations of the Speeder Bike available as well, including the Snow Speeder Bike (unlocked after Chapter VIII: Starkiller Sabotage); the Junker Speeder Bike (unlocked in Lor San Tekka’s Return); and the Rusty Speeder Bike (also unlocked in Lor San Tekka’s Return). Check out each of the variations, but don’t be surprised if you keep coming back to good ol’ Endor.

Millennium Falcon (Classic Version, Flight Missions)

Nothing beats the original Millennium Falcon in Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens. You’ll be introduced to it right off the bat, as you guide Nien Nunb and Lando Calrissian into a final assault on the Death Star in the Battle of Endor mission. It handles very well, and you’ll come across it again in various flight missions, as the vehicle becomes unlocked once you finish the Battle of Endor level.

Millennium Falcon (Microfighter)

However, if you can’t get enough of the Millennium Falcon and want to use it more, there’s a way to do that. In Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, you’ll have access to a number of Microfighters, smaller versions of vehicles that any character can hop into and ride around in. They may not be as fully powered as the main vehicles themselves, but they’re adorable and a lot of fun to cruise around in.

You can get the Millennium Falcon Microfighter after completing The Battle of Endor, along with the Rebel Alliance X-Wing Microfighter and, if you collect all the Minikits, the Imperial AT-ST.

First Order TIE Fighter

Who says you have to use the First Order’s vehicles against the Rebels? Once you unlock this bad boy in Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, you’ll be able to shoot at whatever you feel like – and reach out to your inner Finn in the process. All you need to do is collect all the Minikits in Chapter X: The Finale, and this sweet vehicle is as good as yours.

You can also unlock a miniature version of the Imperial TIE Fighter by collecting all the Minikits found in Ottegan Assault, so keep an eye out for those and add it to your collection!

Luke’s Landspeeder

Finally, while we’re talking about classic vehicles, there’s no way you can be without Luke’s Landspeeder. Initially featured in the original 1977 film that started it all, A New Hope, this is a wonderful throwback for anyone you choose to play in Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

To get this, simple conclude Epilogue: Luke’s Island and it’ll be added to your collection for use in Hubs. If you want, you can also add a Rebel Alliance A-Wing to your vehicles by finding all the Minikits.

Good luck, and may the Force be with you in Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens!
