It’s been ages since we’ve seen Final Fantasy VII’s main hero, Cloud Strife, fighting the good fight. Today, however, Square Enix revealed a way that you can bring him back to the playing field – cosmetically, at least. All you need to do is put down some money.
The publisher announced today that those who pre-order the upcoming action/role-playing adventure Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will be able to download a special skin, one that allows Lightning to dress up as the legendary Cloud. In addition to donning his uniform, you’ll also gain access to his buster sword, as well as a soldier band and the Final Fantasy VII classic victory fanfare music, which plays each time you win a fight.
Pre-orders are available now through various retailers, and you can download the skin for yourself when the game releases on February 11 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
