Nintendo Cleans up With StreetPass Game Sales

Mii Force and other games have been a big draw for 3DS owners.

Ever since their release through a system update earlier this summer, Nintendo’s new StreetPass games have caught on with the public.

The quartet of new titles generated a huge cash flow for the company, according to Nintendo president Satoru Iwata. He explained to Japanese site Tokyo Keizai Online that the games managed over four million dollars in just one month of release.

These games include the hero-based action game Mii Force, the garden sim Flower Town, the epic battle game Warrior’s Way and the ghoulish role-playing adventure Monster Manor. The games currently sell for $4.99 apiece through the StreetPass menu, or you can buy a package that includes all four for $14.99.

Nintendo’s sales success should easily continue next week when the role-playing sequel Mario and Luigi: Dream Team releases August 11th for the 3DS, followed by Pokemon X & Y in October.
