Mass Effect: Andromeda Quick Tips

  • There is a lot going on in Mass Effect: Andromeda. Make sure you get all the information pertinent to your situation by chatting with as many people as you can. Not only can you learn more about the Initiative and their plans for Andromeda, but you can also learn more about each character, which will help you build new partnerships in the future.
  • Test your loadout. During your explorations around the galaxy, you’re bound to come across quite a few enemies who want to stand in your way. Make sure your loadout is up to the task by customizing and testing it out. This can all be done before you head out on a mission, or even from Forward Operating Terminals that SAM sends down to the planet’s surface for you.
  • Create and experiment. One of the big new things in Mass Effect: Andromeda is the ability to craft your own weapons. This gives you unbridled access to the largest arsenal every available in the Mass Effect series, and it can make or break your expeditions. Make use of the Research and Development terminal to make sure you have the best weapons to get the job done.
  • Scan everything. Your scanner is your best friend, and it will save your life on more than one occasion. If you’re having trouble figuring out what to do next, pull it out and give the surrounding area a scan for any clues that might lead you to your next destination.
  • Pay attention to the world around you. As you complete various objectives and missions, you’ll find yourself coming face to face with some challenging puzzles. The solutions are hidden in plain sight, though, and you’ll need to really pay attention to your environment if you want to make it past them. Look out for Remnant Terminals, which can activate new ways for you to traverse the terrain.
  • Make use of the Nomad’s all-terrain mode. As you explore the various planets in the game, you may find yourself dealing with some very steep inclines as you try to move around the surface of each planet. These obstacles can easily be overcome by making use of the Nomad’s all-terrain mode. Take a look at the bottom left-hand side of the screen when in the Nomad to see how to activate it.
