Mass Effect: Andromeda is less than a week from release, and some users are already starting to dive into the game. If you’d like to test the latest game from BioWare out before purchasing it, you can do so using EA’s early access system. In this article we’ll teach you everything you need to know to get early access to Mass Effect: Andromeda right now, so that you can start your adventure as the newest Pathfinder.

How to Get Mass Effect Andromeda Early Access

Acquiring early access of Mass Effect: Andromeda is quite easy, and won’t take you long to set up. All you’ll need is access to an Xbox One or a PC capable of running the game. On Xbox One, you’ll be making use of EA Access. Users on PC will make use of Origin Access. These two systems function the same way, and will not only offer access to Mass Effect: Andromeda, but you’ll also be able to dive into several other games included in the “Vault”.

How to Sign up for EA Access

On your Xbox One, navigate to the Store section and click on the Apps box. Once inside, click on Search Apps and type in EA Access.

This should bring you to the EA Access app page, where you can download the application. Once you’ve downloaded the application, you’ll need to sign in using your EA account, and then set up your preferred payment method. EA Access does cost $5 a month to access, but you can cancel the service at any time through the Xbox One settings.

Once you’ve signed up and set up your payment settings, you’ll be able to download any game that’s available in the vault. Now, you can also access the Mass Effect: Andromeda early access trial, which will give you 10 full hours to experience the game’s multiplayer and the first planet of the main campaign.

How to Sign Up for Origin Access

Origin Access works a bit differently, and you’ll need to download the Origin application to your computer. Once installed, launch the program and sign in to your Origin account. After the application loads, head to the Origin Access tab on the left-hand side. You may also be able to locate a banner ad along the top of the application that will take you to the same place.

This will allow you to sign up for Origin Access and setup your payment method. With your payment method setup, and your Origin account ready to go, locate the Mass Effect: Andromeda First Play Trial and download it. Once installed you will have 10 full hours to explore the game’s first planet and multiplayer systems.

Origin Access (and EA Access) also gives you some discounts on purchasing titles available in the EA catalog, and any progress made in Mass Effect: Andromeda will transfer to your full game after release on March 21. We’ll have plenty of additional Mass Effect: Andromeda content coming closer to the game’s release date. So, please check back often for updated guides, articles, and information.
