Trigger the Quest

This quest can only be obtained after you have completed the second mission, A Better Beginning, and have traveled to Aya. Once you’ve done that, head to Voeld and make your way down to the frozen river. All along this river you’ll find various Remnant sites that that the Kett have been studying. Look for a Kett Device around these sites, and destroy it to trigger the quest.

Unfortunately, there’s no sure fire way for us to tell you which Remnant Site will hold the locations of the Kett Devices. The nice thing is, there are only around ten sites that can hold the five devices you need. We’ve marked them all on the map below, so check these areas for the devices.

Once you have destroyed all five of the devices, it’s time to begin on the second phase of this quest.

Head into the Vault

After you have destroyed all five Kett Devices, SAM advises you of the existence of a Remnant Vault along the northern section of the map. Head to the new navpoint and enter the vault.

Take down any Kett that you encounter in the vault, and investigate the area. Soon, you’ll be tasked with destroying four output devices, all of which are hooked up to a Kett console on the back platform of the gravity well.

Thankfully, all the output devices are marked on your map, so simply follow the waypoints to destroy the output devices and bring an end to the Task. Completing this Task will earn you a nice amount of experience, as well as a small amount of AVP (Andromeda Viability Points) and Voeld Viability Points. You can learn more about the AVP system by checking out our detailed guide and breakdown.
