Nintendo Power Says Farewell With Fitting Cover Tribute

It looks an awful lot like the original Nintendo Power cover, and for good reason.

A few weeks ago, we made the sad announcement that Nintendo was discontinuing its long-running publication Nintendo Power, in the face of various Internet outlets serving the company’s distributional needs.  With the offices closed up and the final issue ready to publish, it was only a matter of time before it would arrive on shelves.  And December 11th, it will.

However, the staff behind the magazine have packed it full of Nintendo goodness, and right from page one, you’ll be able to see just what it’s about.  The cover for the final issue of Nintendo Power actually resembles that of the first, with Mario outrunning from an enemy while jumping in the air, his fist waving by his head.

It’s a fitting finale for a publication that, for the past few years, has kept us informed about everything in Nintendo’s universe.  We certainly wish the staff the best and will look at our older issues of Nintendo Power with utmost respect.  You dare not take away the memories, Nintendo.
