The free to play period kicks off tonight—right now actually—and any players who download the game can try out the full Overwatch hero roster, as well as all of the maps in modes like Custom Game, Overwatch Arcade and Quick Play. On top of this, any leveling, loot, or unlocks earned during the play time will carry over if you choose to purchase the game after the free to play period is over. You will need to make a Battle.net account to play the game, but since that’s free, you shouldn’t have much issue setting it up.

Players can dive into the Overwatch free weekend until it comes to a close at 11:59PM PT on August 27. If you’d like, you can check out the full details of the release over on the Overwatch website. Now is a perfect time to dive into the game and try it out, so make sure you don’t miss out on all the fun and madness that Overwatch has to offer.
