PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a massive game and has been a huge deal on the PC for a while now. Back in December when the developers at PUBG Corp released the 1.0 version of the game on PC, they also shipped out the very first console version of the game into Xbox One’s Game Preview Program. Now, a little over a month later, the developer has revealed that over 4 million players have picked up and are playing PUBG on the Xbox One.
These are huge numbers for the game, especially considering the short time that the game has been around on the Xbox One, and to celebrate the influx of new players into the battle royale scene, PUBG Corp will be releasing 30,000 BP to players who have purchased and created a character by January 31 of this year. That means you have just a few short days to pick up the battle royale game and create your character to receive the gift, which is a mighty hefty gift.
The 30,000 BP that players receive can be used to purchase an assortment of cosmetic crates, which will unlock new items and attire for their characters to sport in the game. According to the developers, they just deployed the sixth content update for the game and have been constantly working to improve the game’s overall performance and connections on the Xbox One as they bring it up to speed with its PC counterpart—which spent a good nine months or so in early access on Steam.
The developers have also promised to continue to work hard to fix all the issues that players have reported in the game, and Xbox One fans should expect to continue to see constant updates to the game over the coming weeks and months.
