Healing is a vital part of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, and any players who spend more than a match with the latest battle royale game are sure to find themselves making use of the various medkits, bandages, and other medical items they find. In this article we’ll go over each item, teach you how to use medical items in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, when to use them, and how to spot them in the wild.

The Basics of Healing

As we said above, healing is something players will find themselves doing quite a bit in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, and knowing when to use the correct items could mean the difference between life and death. For example, some of the most basic items you’ll find are Bandages. These items heal you for 10 HP, but they can only be used if you’re below 75 health. They take around 4 seconds or so to use, which means you’ll be a sitting duck when trying to apply them.

Next up are First Aid Kits, which heal you for 75 HP instantly. They take a little bit longer to use, roughly around 5 seconds, so make sure you aren’t using them if you don’t have any kind of cover. This is the second most-used healing item, and you’ll probably find yourself relying on these quite a bit to stay alive during prolonged firefights, especially in the end-game section of matches.

The highest healing item is the Med Kit, which heals you for 100HP instantly. It takes about 6-7 seconds to activate, and is extremely rare. In fact, we’ve only found this item a few times in our roughly 30+ matches, which means you could go for several hours in-game without ever laying eyes on one.

Boost Items and Their Uses

Med Kits, First Aid Kits, and Bandages aren’t the only medical items you’ll find in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, though. In fact, there are at least two other items that you’ll find yourself making use of quite a bit. These items are referred to as Boosters, and they are useful for healing over time, increasing running speed, and lowering your weapon spread.

Using a Booster will fill an energy bar that is broken down into three tiers. Tier 1 gives players the ability to heal over time. Tier 2 makes the player run faster, increasing their sprint speed. Tier 3, when reached, grants the player reduced weapon spread, making their shots deadlier.

The two main boosters are the Energy Drink and Painkillers, but players have also been known to find a much rarer item, the Adrenaline Syringe. The Energy Drink will fill the player’s energy bar by 40 points, allowing them to start healing if they are below 100% HP. The Painkiller will boost a player’s energy bar by 60 points.

These items are exceptionally useful for players who find themselves stuck outside the map restriction area, as it allows them to move faster and regenerate health along the way.

Now that we’ve explained the details of these items, here’s a full list of all the medical oriented items in the game.
