PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds got a new map with it’s 1.0 update in December, and players have been trying to find the best places to start in the map, as well as some of the best places to loot up. To help you get used to the new wide, open spaces of Miramar, we’ve put together this list of the best places to aim for and land at when you find yourself heading to Miramar. Keep in mind that many of the places in Miramar that offer great loot will be overrun with players at the start, so be prepared for a fight.

Best Places to Land in Miramar

If you’re looking for the best loot in the game, then your best bet is going to be to look near larger towns and areas with plenty of buildings. These areas have plenty of loot drops available, which will up the chances of you finding the items that you need to survive to the end of the match. We’ve outlined some of the best spots that we’ve found below, so be sure to give them a try and see if they work for you too.

Los Leones

This massive center set in the south-central portion of Miramar is perfect for looting and running from building to building. It’s a great place to get started but you’ll have to worry about enemies galore, especially if the plane drops right over it. You’ll also usually be near the middle of the circle as it closes, giving you extra time to loot up and make sure you’re ready for what’s coming when the firefights kick off.

El Pozo

This smaller town is great for players to start in, as it offers plenty of buildings and cover options for players. It also gives you access to a series of cliffs nearby, which you can use to keep an eye on the area around you, giving you a good vantage point to watch your enemies from. It’s one of our favorite places to start. This can be crucial to your opening moments, and its definitely a place we recommend giving a try.

San Martin

San Martin is also pretty close to the center of Miramar, and it has tons of buildings in the town to explore. You’ll also find plenty of rooms in the large buildings here, giving you plenty of perches for you to watch over the town from. This is another great starting point, as it gives you instant access to gear and conflict, should you choose to enter it.

These are just three of the best places to land that we have found, and we use them often when we’re playing the game. You can also head over to our PUBG guide to find out more information about the game including the best places to loot in the original map and more.
