Prey is the newest game from Bethesda and Dishonored studio, Arkane. This Prey guide will serve as a hub for all of our game content, and we’ll teach you everything you need to know to find all of the Prey collectibles, all the guns, and unlock all of the powers so you can become a master at mimicking the world around you. Our Prey walkthrough will also include how to find all of the important items as you play through the game. Not sure if the game will run on your computer? Check out the PC Requirements at the bottom of the article.

The game features some of the same style of features as previous Dishonored titles, like the “play how you want” feature, which leaves each encounter open to many different possibilities for completion. In Prey players take on the role of Morgan Yu, a scientist who find themselves onboard the Talos 1 station after a deadly attack by an alien lifeform that can mimic the environment and objects around it.

Prey Quick Tips

  • Mimics make chittering noises when they are camouflaged. Listen out for this sound, and then try to get the first hit on any mimics in your area.
  • Sometimes, if you watch carefully, you can see mimics moving while they are camouflaged. This makes spotting them easier, which can allow you to get the drop on them before they can attack you first.
  • Conserve your ammunition, and always pick up every item you can. Later on you can recycle or even dismantle items for new materials, which you can then use to create ammunition or even entire weapons.
  • Watch your inventory, it can fill up fast, so try not to get overloaded with nowhere to turn. Break down items you don’t need and then make use of them to craft ammunition or other items.
  • Find a gun quickly. While the Wrench can be useful, it’s going to become increasingly harder to defeat the different Typhon, like Phantoms, with just the Wrench and your Gloo Gun.
  • You don’t have to fight every enemy you spot. You can find crawlspaces and other paths that will allow you to sneak around them.
  • Use the environment to your advantage. Throw objects at enemies, or lure them into a Turret’s line of sight to help thin out the herd and then deal with the rest when it’s clear.
  • Search everything. You need items to craft more ammunition and other things, so be sure to pick up any materials you spot along the way. You’ll also want to go out of your way to explore things, as you’ll often find ways around locked doors and other barricades.
