Sony Announces Three New Games For PS3

Gamescom 2012 in Germany was home of a few new Sony games, including Rain and Puppeteer. Can't wait!

In a follow-up to our report yesterday straight from Sony’s press conference at GamesCom, we’ve learned about three trailblazing new projects for the PlayStation 3 that will provide the system with some awesome new gaming experiences.

The first one is called Until Dawn, and is a horror story that revolves around people visiting a spooky cabin in the woods.  As you might guess, trouble soon follows, and you’ll use the PlayStation Move to perform actions in the game, such as shining a flashlight or opening up objects.  The goal, obviously, is to survive.  And yeah, good luck with that, since a psycho killer’s roaming around.

The second game, Rain, comes from Sony Japan Studio, and is an exploration adventure type game where you’re an invisible boy, trying to seek out an invisible girl.  A daunting task, to be sure, but you’ve got weather on your side, as rain helps you see silhouettes of your characters and see clues that could point you in the right direction.

Finally, there’s another Sony Japan Studio project called Puppeteer, a LittleBigPlanet-inspired platforming adventure where you play a puppet battling evil enemies and cutting his/her way through the terrain with the help of a pair of magic scissors.  This one looks genuinely fun, and we’ll have a preview for you soon.

Look for all these games to shake up Sony’s line-up in 2013.
