Ubisoft Attempts To Clarify Recent Rayman Legends Delay, Mutli-Platform Announcement

Multiplatform releases are the norm for the company's releases.

Yesterday, the hopes and dreams of various Wii U owners came crashing down when Ubisoft announced that its exclusive title for the system, Rayman Legends, would not be releasing at the end of the month as originally promised, and will also be coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as well.

Today, Ubisoft attempted to clarify the statement by talking to Digital Spy, saying, “We usually release all of our platforms simultaneously (aside from PC).  We’ve made special exception sometimes in the past but it’s definitely just on a case by case basis and not our standard practice. I know it’s not an elaborate, ‘convincing’ answer, but it’s the simple truth.”

Rayman Legends is slated for release this September.
