New Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer Showcases DeadEye System, Robberies and More

The latest gameplay trailer for Rockstar’s upcoming open-world western showcases train robberies, the DeadEye system and more.

Red Dead Redemption made quite a name for itself when the original open-world western released back in 2010. Now, over 8 years later, the studio is set to bring their most ambitious open-world title to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 with the released of Red Dead Redemption 2.

Thanks to a new gameplay trailer from Rockstar, fans now have a chance to see even more of the game in action, and boy is it shaping up to be something worth being excited about. On top of providing a sprawling and living world like Rockstar has become known for, Red Dead Redemption 2 is looking to offer players a seamless experience that lets them live life in the west an as many ways as possible.

In the latest trailer the narrator touches on some of the things that players can expect to see in the game, including robberies of stage coaches, trains, and even other people walking around the world. They’re also putting a large focus on players dressing and keeping up Arthur’s appearance, making mention of the fact that players can even choose whether he bathes, shaves, or changes his clothes.

On top of the character customization options, players also have a revamped DeadEye system to look forward to. The iconic time-slowing power from the original game returns, this time with some additional perks that players can unlock along the way, including enemy tagging as well as indicators of the most vital places to shoot enemies to take them down quickly. It’s a vast upgrade from the original system that should make the DeadEye system even more useful for players as they explore the world.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a true open-world game if exploration wasn’t a large part of the formula, and Rockstar has set out to create a beautiful and sprawling world that feels full of life as players explore it. There are dangers out there, though, and players will need to ride carefully as they explore forests, small towns and other havens for the outlaws that roam the wild roads of the west.

Make sure you check out the trailer and be prepared to dive into the latest installment of the Red Dead series when Red Dead Redemption 2 releases on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on October 26.
